This half term Reception have been learning all about plants, including those we can eat. In addition, this week they learnt about reading, following and writing instructions.
Before creating a healthy sandwich, they tasted a range of fruits and vegetables then decided which they enjoyed and wanted on their sandwich. They spread, peeled, chopped and grated the vegetables to fill their sandwich. Finally, they ate the sandwich. The next day Reception had a ‘Big Write’ and wrote the instructions for making their sandwich. What a fantastic job they did, making us all very proud of them.
