British Sign Language Week

British Sign Language week is celebrated every year in March to commemorate the first time BSL was acknowledged in its own right by the UK Government in 18th March 2003. As part of this week, we have taken part in an online BSL lesson delivered by Yvonne Cobb, a TV presenter and qualified deaf teacher. We are also pleased to share the addition of our British Two-Handed Fingerspelling Alphabet Board to the playground (outside of the Year 2 classroom). This was kindly donated to the school by the Chloe’s and Sophie’s Special Ears Fund charity. www.cssef.org.uk
